How much water to drink?

If you look up that question you will get a  million different results.

All I know is that drinking a lot of water is important and will help you with your fitness goals.

I came across this "Water Calculator" that helps you calculate how much water you should be drinking per day.

It takes into account:

  • your weight
  • minutes of exercise
  • if you're pregnant
  • if you're breastfeeding
  • if you're at a high altitude
  • if you're in a dry climate
  • how much alcohol you'll have
  • if the weather is extremely hot or cold
  • if you have fever or diarrhea
After putting in the values for me it came back with about 101.5 oz or 3 liters per day.

I have a water bottle that I use and it holds 32 oz of water so if I drink about 3 of those per day I will hit that goal.

The site also says that if you are eating a healthy diet you will hit about 20% of your water intake that way. So if I'm eating healthy I need to drink about 81.2 oz per day.

Sooo I think what I'm going to do is fill up my water bottle with 30 oz each time.

My water hydration plan:

30 oz by 2pm
30 oz by  7pm
30 oz by 11pm

I use a 1lt bottle and try to drink at least two of it. But days like these I drink 4lt of water (it's hot and I'm walking a lot!)... I always feel good and less bloated when I drink a lot!

That's awesome! I just finished my first round (of 3) and I feel great! My muscles are still so sore from kickboxing. Glad you're drinking lots of water too!
